Who taught you that nature is evil?

That the divine energies within the trees, the rivers, the ocean, and the mountains, we rely on to sustain ourselves are evil.
That the herbs we use to cure ourselves and families for centuries when there was no “medicine” are somehow superstitious and evil.
That our African ancestors who’s blood flow through your veins and who prayed to gods of nature for the continuity of their generation (you), are evil, burning in Hell for simply being African.
That our indigenous knowledge systems, our science, and our nature-based spirituality is “idol worship” and evil.
So much so that you think that your ancestors were so ignorant that they needed to be taught by Europeans about how to worship God.
Today we speak, write, sing, and pray in Eurocentric thought. We are “educated” but have lost touch with nature, our indigenous knowledge systems, and our ancestors.
We no longer can hear the voices of the trees, the rivers, the mountains, the sea as our ancestors did so we destroy them just like how our colonizers have destroyed their environment all in the name of “civilization”.
We have African leaders that are phenotypically African, but ideologically Western, trying to copy and paste from the West at every chance they get. “Development” they call it.
Custodians of our indigenous knowledge such as African healers are labeled “backward”, unfit for a “progressive” Africa when, in fact, they are the last living libraries of unadulterated African wisdom, African science, that can’t be found in any book.
Before you complain that I am preaching hate, ask yourself: who taught you to hate your own blood, to hate the divinities that helped your ancestors for centuries, to despise the philosophies and world views that guided your people for millennia?
Who taught you that nature is evil?
